The Smell of Everything

Have you ever noticed that smell?

Which smell?

The smell of everything…

How much of that part of our moment-to-moment experience is obscured by our thoughts, fears, expectations, hopes and dreams? How much do we miss of an entire range of our senses that is built to take in that very aspect of life and living? What kind of information (or just rhythmic energies) are we ignoring?

We’ve been told that smell doesn’t really mean anything, doesn’t have any value, needs to be analyzed by “experts” or equipment, is worthy only of its prettiness or disgustingness… We expect value to show up in bold and obvious ways from expected sources, we completely strip life of its nuance and interweaving rhythm, we want and yet never seem to really receive…

What smell is this? What is its name? In what way can I categorize it?

I ask you--what is the smell of life??

Wait! Don’t tell me.

Just experience it.

Peace,

Anton Elohan
